THE GIRL WHO LOVED CHRISTMAS

Once there lived this girl who loved Christmas. She would get ready for it every Thanksgiving. Her Mom would say, "Isabel, it's not time." Isabel said, "But Mom, I love Christmas." So Isabel went to her room. She started writing what she wanted for Christmas. The list said, "Dear Santa, please give me a Hannah Montana doll, all her movies, and most of all to be with my family, from Isabel."
She stayed up all night writing that. She really wanted to see Miley Cyrus the singer, but it was too much. So she decided to write short stories until Christmas. The titles were, "Till Christmas" and "The Green Thing for Christmas." Those were the best stories she ever wrote.
Although she wrote stories, she also wrote poems. Poems about love, blessings and heroes. Here's the poem, "Hero," it's good.
"You ask me who my hero was, I hesitated. Then I said, you. You ask me why were you my hero. I said, "Because you watch out for me. And you're there for me. That's why you're my hero."
That was the best poem she wrote. So it was the 29th of November. Isabel was at her Aunt Marsha's house eating and playing games. Her Aunt Marsha was always nice and sweet. Isabel's brother Mario was very weird. He would rip Isabel's baby dolls' heads off. But she still loved him.
Isabel left her Aunt Marsha's house and went to church. She had a lot of friends there. Her best friend was Darlena. They were like sisters. So when Isabel got to church, she started singing, "Here I am to worship." That was her favorite song. Isabel was so, so happy Christmas was almost here. She wrote a new list to Santa. It says all I want for Christmas is a Bratz doll. And I would like to have Miley Cyrus tickets. I need more clothes and shoes. I want earrings, and I would love to have Guitar Hero 5.
That was Isabel's new Christmas list. Isabel was with her mother one morning and they heard something. It was her Dad putting the presents under the tree. Isabel knows she got Miley Cyrus stuff. She got her stuff on Christmas. They ate ham and corn with orange juice. She went to bed that night. She said to herself the greatest gift of all that day was being with my family. That's all she remembered that day. She still thinks about that day for years.
