Our Short Story Adventure

Our short story begins...

We're a typical American family. One dad, one mom, one daughter, one son and two dogs.

We love to watch movies, go to the park, go hiking, play video games, BBQ and hang out with family and friends!

I'm the mom and I homeschool my son and daughter. A big part of homeschooling, or any schooling really, is reading and we all truly love to read! Really, I'm not exaggerating! Both my son and daughter love to read and so can you!

My son loves to read anything non-fiction. He loves to learn little known facts about everything! He also loves some great fantasy fiction - from C.S. Lewis to Bryan Davis.

My daughter loves anything about animals - especially horses! She has read through the Magic Tree House books, the Black Stallion and many, many more.

They both love going to the local library every week and will get a book bag full each time!

Their Daddy only reads non-fiction and me - I love to read most anything!

When we were looking for a way to make some extra money from home and researched countless opportunities (most of them being scams) we landed on this page about how to build a website successfully.

We researched it for months and put the idea aside still thinking it may be a scam.

Two years later, we came back to the idea, spent a few more months researching and reading an ebook full of case studies of other successful moms who were really making it work and devouring everything on those pages when I came across this video.

That did it for me.

I knew I could do this! And I knew I wanted the kids to be a part of it so they could take on some of the responsibility and see how we could work together as a family to reap the rewards!

But we didn't have a clue what to do our site about!

We thought about doing it on homeschooling cause that's what we knew. But we weren't all that excited about it.

So we thought - what do we LOVE?

Reading! Stories! Short stories! Children's books! We LOVE to read! So let's make a site about short stories and show other children that reading is fun!

We have so much fun together building this site!
